Founded in 2013, Henderson House Publishing & Bookstore (HHP) is a leading publisher and provider of inspirational and biblically based books. HHP’s vision is to provide reading publications and materials that seek to develop the life and faith of readers globally.
Operating online at www.hendersonhousebookstore.com our books, including Spanish and Portuguese translations, have been sold throughout North America and various countries.
Melva L. Henderson started writing and privately publishing books in 1997 for her then Senior Pastor. She has worked with companies like Anchor Distributors and Whitaker House. Her first published book was The Disease Called Comparisonitis by Bishop Darrell L. Hines.
In 1998, Melva’s second book for Bishop Darrell L. Hines, Let Them Have Dominion, was published. She went on to publish two more books, A Lifestyle of Healing and The Plan of God in You, by Pamela Hines.
In 2011, Melva wrote and self-published two books, Fresh Baked Manna Volume I and Volume II. Within the first 24 months and without a publisher, Melva sold more than 25,000 copies.
Melva established Henderson House Publishing to continue her self-publishing efforts. Under the HHP brand, Melva has written and published the Faith Life Series, The Practical Life Series, and Mobilizing the Black American Church for Global Missions.
In October 2022, the company expanded to include the Henderson House Publishing Bookstore inside The Collective Marketplace at Bayshore Mall in Glendale, WI.
